Papua New Guinea: Menya tribe: (20 Nov 2009) Tuberculosis has been a major cause for a very high death rate among the Menya people. A local hospital has asked the missionary team to help administer medicine, but because of the Menyas' beliefs about sickness, few people seek medical treatment and when they do, very few finish it. Please pray that the missionary team will be able to build good relationships with the Menyas and that those who are ill will receive treatment and finish it.

Brazil: Baniwa tribe: (20 Nov 2009) God worked in the hearts of many Baniwa people as Zenilon Bezzera taught through the Bible recently, and one man, Steven, came to tell Zenilson he clearly understood now. Mexico: Western Tarahumara tribe: (20 Nov 2009) A Tarahumara woman -- Veronica -- recently shared with missionaries Tim and Janet Roberts that God has changed her life. Pray that her relatives will see the changes and desire to know Christ. Find out more -- read the story >>

United States: (19 Nov 2009) NTM's first Kodiak is through five steps of a seven-stage construction process. Pray that all goes well for the plane to be completed in January 2010. Find out more -- read the story >>

Brazil: Kuripako tribe: (19 Nov 2009) Missionary Marcelo Silva's leukemia returned while he was visiting the USA. Pray that he recovers enough to travel back to his home country, Brazil, for a bone marrow transplant. Find out more -- read the story >>

Mexico: Southern Tepehuan tribe: (18 Nov 2009) Next week -- Monday through Thursday -- missionaries Barry and Candy Wingo will be working with a dental team headed by Dr. Dan Bentley to care for dental needs among the Southern Tepehuan people. "It's a taxing time but the Tepehuans appreciate the great service they receive right there in their home town," Barry wrote. Please pray that the act of showing concern for physical needs will build relationships toward their acceptance of the Gospel.

Papua New Guinea: Mibu tribe: (18 Nov 2009) Some Mibus have a clear understanding of the importance of studying the Old Testament, and others are learning. Pray that God works in hearts to draw many Mibus to Him. Find out more -- read the story >>

Brazil: (17 Nov 2009) Please continue praying for Brazilian missionaries Marcelo and Rute as Marcelo battles leukemia. A possible bone marrow donor has been found but further test results are expected soon. Marcelo is not doing well.

Paraguay: Sanapaná tribe: (17 Nov 2009) Missionary John Stucky and his Sanapaná co-worker, Regino, are working this week with a skilled Bible translator, Paul Cheshire, to check about 700 verses in the Sanapaná translation. Please pray that the team will have wisdom as they determine whether the translation is clearly communicating God's Word to the Sanapaná people.

Panama: Kuna tribe: (16 Nov 2009) Please pray for Kuna believers who are facing intense pressure to participate in drinking ceremonies. They are being accused, questioned, threatened and fined for their non-participation, but continue to walk in obedience to Christ.

Brazil: Gaviao tribe: (16 Nov 2009) Wawri, a Gaviāo believer recently renewed his relationship with Christ after straying for about a year. He and other Gaviāo believers are now looking to the Lord to develop leaders for the church. Please pray they will recognise God's guidance. Find out more -- read the story >>

Papua New Guinea: Akolet tribe: (13 Nov 2009) Missionaries will soon print four primers to be used in teaching the Akolet people to read and write. Several men are coming up with ideas for graded readers to let the students practice their reading skills. One man -- Toni -- has shown special interest and missionaries hope to train him as a literacy teacher. Please pray as they continue preparation for classes and decide on when to start them.

Panama: Embera tribe: (13 Nov 2009) Missionary Doug Schermerhorn has faced several obstacles while trying to finish the Embera New Testament by the end of April 2010. Please pray that Doug and his Embera co-workers will be united and focused and that God will give them strength and the ability to overcome the obstacles and accomplish their goal.

Senegal: Balanta tribe: (13 Nov 2009) Please pray for missionary Susan Logsdon and her Balanta co-workers as they translate the book of Romans into the Balanta language. Find out more -- read the story >>

Panama: Naso tribe: (12 Nov 2009) Two men from Guatemala have been working with missionary Simon Challinor to record the Naso New Testament. The two men are working with little rest so they can finish the project and return home to their families. Please pray that they will be able to complete the job with excellence.

Philippines: (12 Nov 2009) Students at Faith Academy helped in rescue and relief efforts after Typhoon Parma. Pray for missionary dorm parents, Russ and Kelly Holeman, as they help students continue to reach out to flood victims and help with cleaning and rebuilding in various neighbourhoods. Brazil: (9 Nov 2009) Missionary pilot Joel Rich will be taking a test for the aircraft mechanic license in Brazil on 20 November. This is the important next step towards getting the flight program in Brazil off the ground. We would really appreciate your prayers for Joel and for the flight program.

Papua New Guinea: Dom tribe: (9 Nov 2009) Missionary Jim Burdett has completed the first draft of the Dom New Testament and has been doing comprehension checks with his Dom co-workers. Please pray that the team can produce a clear and accurate translation.

Brazil: Ka'apor tribe: (9 Nov 2009) Preparations are being made for Gabriel and Rachel Nunez to join the missionary team working among the Ka'apor people. Please pray for the couple as they finish studying the Portuguese culture and language and make plans to move. Find out more -- read the story >>
