Job Title: Accounts Payable Manager

Location: Field Headquarters, Highlands
Purpose: FINANCIAL PERSONNEL PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE ON THE CHURCH PLANTING TEAM as they manage the finances for over 900 missionary personnel, many of them in remote locations. They also manage all mission finances, citizen employment and taxes on behalf of our missionaries and citizen workers.

The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager ensures that all of the bills for NTM PNG and its missionaries are paid in a timely manner.
Responsibilities: Ensure all NTM PNG invoices and statements are approved and paid in a timely manner. Keep accurate and thorough records of these transactions. Main responsibilities include:
• Pay NTM PNG invoices for departments and individual missionaries.
• Keep accurate records in order to maintain proof of payment.
• Verify AP procedures for NTM centers across PNG.
• Fill check request orders in foreign currency.
• Monitor distribution of purchase orders.
• Oversee citizen employees at times.
• Maintain and set up new vendors.

REQUIREMENTS
Degree: No Degree
Experience: Previous experience in account payable and bookkeeping is helpful. Previous experience in a multi-cultural setting is desirable.
Skills: A working knowledge of bookkeeping / accounts payable and computers is necessary. Prior knowledge of accounting software is helpful.

The AP Manager should be organized, proactive, detail oriented and have methodical work habits. He/she should also have the ability to logically investigate and deduce facts when all information not provided.
Comments: This ministry is located at the field headquarters with a community of over 250 people. Located in the mountains of Papua New Guinea with an elevation of over 5,000 feet, the climate is spring-like year round. Many ministries are located at this center; including the school for missionary children, flight program and medical and dental clinics.
